The Welcome Ministry supports a culture of inclusion at St. Luke’s. Welcome volunteers plan and support major parish events and work intentionally to cultivate a community grounded in inclusion for all. This ministry pays close attention to accessibility, hospitality, and belonging, so that everyone can come as they are to participate fully in parish life.
Some Welcome Team Events & Projects
- Coffee Hour after worship two Sundays a month
- Annual Church Barbecue
- Regular Welcome Gatherings after worship to introduce people who are new to St. Luke’s to the community and send them home with some gifts
- Continually looking for ways our church and worship can become more accessible
- Spearheading the renewal of our Parish Hall where so many of our Welcome events happen
