Bottle Drop

Recycling Your Cans & Bottles to Benefit St. Luke’s

Friends of our dear Richard Martin will recall that he faithfully returned bottles and cans left in our parish hall recycling barrel and donated those proceeds to the church. We’d like to continue this practice. Debbie Kohler is the point person for this project.

Instructions for participation:

• GET YOUR BAGS in the Narthex.
• FILL YOUR BAGS with Oregon 10 deposit containers. Plastic, aluminum, and glass can go in the same bag. Please keep bags at a 20 lb. weight limit.
• RETURN YOUR BAGS at any BottleDrop Redemption Center or BottleDrop Express. St. Luke’s barcode sticker is on the Blue Bags and can be scanned to unlock the secure drop door for easy drop off.

BottleDrop location closest to St. Luke’s:

1313 East Powell Blvd., Gresham: Secure drop door is located on the west side of the building.

Fred Meyer Community Rewards

Fred Meyer’s Community Rewards Program will donate to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. To set St. Luke’s as your beneficiary, go to Fred Meyer’s Community Rewards page.

• Log in to your account at the top right of the page. After you log in, you should return to the Community Rewards page.
• Under Step 2 Link your Card to an organization, go to “2. Search for your organization here.” Click on “here.”
• Search for St. Luke’s. There are many St. Luke’s! Be sure to select the one whose address is PO Box 1767 in Gresham!

That’s it! Now whenever you shop at Fred Meyer using your Loyalty Card, St. Luke’s will get a small donation, and small donations add up fast!
