Music Minister

Playing the piano in a worship setting has been part of my life since I was 12 years old. I’ve found one of my truest homes at the piano. It is where I feel most myself, most able to express what I cannot always verbalize. I find peace and calm at those keys. From the piano, I get to offer an expansive invitation. I believe we all carry a song that wants to be sung. Inviting you to sing your song is pure joy.
I came to The Episcopal Church after spending most of my life in another faith tradition. My queerness, my questions, my attraction to mystery and the mystical have all found a place of belonging at St. Luke’s.
I’m a lover of poetry and Broadway musicals, hard laughter, jigsaw puzzles and power tools. I’m often noodling around on composing a new tune to share in worship. Some of my best hours are spent over an expertly crafted latte, engaged in deep listening with someone who needs to tell their story. I share rich relationships with my three siblings and their kiddos. I share a home with my dear partner Amy and our dogs, Tytan and Marmalade.
