The role of the Finance Team is to provide financial oversight for St. Luke’s.

Primary functions of the team:

  • Develop annual operating budget.
  • Present budget to the Vestry for approval; Present approved budget to congregation for review/discussion.
  • Monitor adherence to the budget; monitor cash flow and recommend investment withdrawals / additions as needed.
  • Set long-range financial goals.
  • Present to the Vestry monthly reports, make recommendations, and point out any financial change for their final approval.

We meet monthly via ZOOM to review our financial calendar, Profit & Loss/Balance sheet, and discuss the financial needs of the parish: payables, bank accounts, savings, and investment accounts.

Marci prepares the monthly financial statements for the meeting. Any major expense is discussed and a recommendation for payment is made to Vestry.
